Associate Marriage and Family Therapist #136910

While it can feel overwhelming to think about facing our traumas, I believe in the power of post traumatic growth. The way I see it, our work together is an opportunity to help you challenge your norm, find self-empowerment and create the person you want to be.

How Can I Help?

During our time together, I will work somatically with you, meaning that I help you connect with your body to recognize what it’s feeling, when, and why. We then use that information to help you manage your emotions, relax your body and increase feelings of safety. Additionally, I work to highlight your strengths, challenge your default ways of thinking. I love to incorporate mindfulness and grounding techniques, as well as discovering what unique coping skills we can develop based on your lifestyle and interests.

What is My Approach?

I take your experiences seriously and co-create a supportive and nurturing environment that empowers you to push yourself slowly beyond where you’re comfortable. While I will work collaboratively with you, I will also hold you accountable, challenge you to own your experiences and be directive in the service of empowering yourself.

More About Me: Having grown up with family challenges such as divorce, addiction, loss, and cultural identity struggles—I understand the courage it takes to start therapy. My six years with AmeriCorps and work with diverse groups such as unhoused individuals, people of all ages, incarcerated teens and survivors of crimes have fueled my passion for supporting my clients growth and resiliency

Fun Fact: I grew up in the deserts of northern LA County, where I found my first love– dance, which I pursued professionally. I love to create art, usually with watercolors or my camera. I also love to travel and explore new places whether that be by plane or by longboard!
