Sometimes life can feel or seem SO overwhelming. There are obstacles everywhere we look. Not enough time, not enough money, not enough support. There are those days where we just want to crawl back in bed and pull the covers up and hide from the world. But we cannot, at least not for any length of time. Life goes on and the obstacles are still there.

What we forget though is that we are perfect just the way we are! We lose sight of how capable we are, when in actuality we have everything we need within ourselves to tackle those obstacles. You may not believe it in the moment, but we do. Just remember to breathe and know that you are enough!

Dwell in possibility

Santa Barbara Therapist - Dwell in Possibilities“Dwell in possibility”….Those three words they can often go in one ear and out the other. They sound nice but what do they really mean?

Possibility, by definition is “the state or condition of being possible”. I like to think of possibility as “What If?” What if life could look different? What if I could feel different? What if things didn’t have to be as they always are? What if I didn’t have to feel stuck and powerless or bored? What if?

Dwell is defined by “to linger over, emphasize, or ponder in thought, speech, or writing” What if we took a timeout from our crazy hectic lives and pondered how life could be different.

What if we actually broke out of our comfort zone opened ourselves up to possibility? How different could our lives become if we only changed the way we thought about it. Instead of believing things are the way they are, we began dwelling in possibility and believing what if?

Imagine all the possibilities….
